Thank you for taking the lead on giving with other TCU students, alumni, faculty and staff, parents and friends on our 4th annual TCU Gives Day! On Thursday, November 9, the world-wide TCU community came together for 24-hours to help equip and empower students to make a positive impact on the world, each in their own way.
Mark Wassenich '64 and Linda Pilcher Wassenich '65 generously gave $25,000 to TCU for exceeding our goal of 2,000 gifts!
Donors Mark '64 and Linda '65 Wassenich have stayed very involved with their alma mater. Linda has served on the TCU Dallas Alumni Board and the Board of Visitors for the Harris College of Nursing and Health Sciences, and Mark has held a variety of leadership positions, including chair of the Clark Society Board and founding chairperson of the John V. Roach Honors College Board of Visitors, for which he received the inaugural Founders Award from the Honors College.
While the Wassenichs have supported other organizations, the main focus of their philanthropy has been TCU. They are lifetime members of the Addison & Randolph Clark Society at the Founder’s Level. Mark and Linda have created multiple endowed funds, including the Wassenich Award for Mentoring in the TCU Community, which is presented each year to a faculty or staff member to recognize mentoring’s importance. The Wassenich’s recently established the Wassenich Family Endowed Chair in the Honors College due to their family’s rich history with TCU Honors.
Mark and Linda continue to support scholarships, awards and other campus programs close to their hearts. They understand the impact of giving when donors come together to reach a common goal, which is why they have graciously agreed to support TCU with a $25,000 gift if TCU reaches 2,000 donors on TCU Gives Day.
